This year’s edition of the BTL is being held between 28 February and 4 March in Lisbon and one of the event novelties is the BTL LAB space, dedicated to innovation and IT.

As Portugal becomes more modern and structured, the BTL also wants to follow suit and serve the tourist industry, the events director told Lusa.

This year’s fair expects more than 1,300 entities and companies, 1,500 foreign professionals, along with 400 ‘Hosted Buyers’ from 39 countries and 3e,000 scheduled meetings.

200 of the companies at the fair are going to be there for the first time, 8% more than last year.

The Central region of Portugal is the guest domestic destination and will take centre stage after last year’s devastating wildfires.
