In statements to Lusa, Roberto Barbeiro, the chairman of Mototurismo de Centro, the organisers, said that only “two brands” of cars are not going to participate in the event, while in bikes only one of the “well-known” brands is not represented.

"It will have almost 100% of the participation of the big, well-known brands of cars and bikes,” he said, who invests on the organisation of a big free admission event.

The organisation expects about 50,000 people to attend at the weekend.

According to Barbeiro, the initiative has a solidarity nature as revenues go to Portugal’s association to support injured bikers (AMA) and the Portuguese Anti-Cancer League (Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro).

In addition to shows and exhibits, this event also has aeronautical acrobatics with aeroplanes and drones, water motor activities on the River Mondego and parachutists.

Portuguese racers Elisabete Jacinto, winner of Africa Eco Racing 2019, and Martim Marco, Portugal’s júnior champion of bikes, as well as the schools of biker Miguel Oliveira, have guaranteed their participation.
