Number of flu cases continues to drop

The number of flu cases in Portugal has dropped for the third week running, leading observers to conclude that transmission of the virus has reached its peak this winter.

Overall the Bulletin for the Surveillance of Flu found that the current rate has fallen to 44.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

A single case of the H3 virus was also detected for the period in question between the 16th and the 22^nd of January.
