According to the study, based on the international property website Property Guide, the average housing price in 2013 in Portugal was 1,741 euros per square metre.
The most expensive place to buy a European home, according to the study, is Monaco (44,522 euros per square metre) and the United Kingdom (25,575 euros).
The cheapest housing can be found in Moldova (965 euros
per square metre).
The study is based on the average price per square metre of properties measuring around 120 square metres, located in the centre of the main European cities.
