Portugal ready to accept migrants

Refugee agencies in Portugal have said they are ready to accept some of the thousands migrants that are looking to pass into Europe after Turkey said it could no longer stop them from entering the union.

Nearly a million Syrians have fled to the Syrian-Turkish border since December, amid heavy fighting between Turkish-backed rebels and Syrian government forces.

Turkey is already hosting 3.7 million Syrian refugees, as well as migrants from other countries such as Afghanistan - but previously stopped them from leaving for Europe.

Why do You use the misleadaing word "migrants"? A migrant is moving of her/his free will. Like me I am a migrant from Finland. A refugee is a human who is fleeing for her/his life!.
