Several new cases of Coronavirus confirmed in Algarve over weekend

There have been several new cases of Coronavirus infections confirmed in the Algarve over the weekend, in Silves, Portimão, Quateira, Faro and Albufeira.

A woman who travelled abroad was diagnosed with the virus in Silves; in Portimão another teacher from the school where the first case was diagnosed has tested positive for the virus.

Another two people from Albufeira have been confirmed as having Covid-19 , one of them a health worker and the other a second Canadian tourist, and a farmer from Faro became the first person confirmed with the virus in that county.

And an Italian national resident in Quarteira has become the first case there.

There are currently at least 10 known cases of coronavirus in the Algarve.
