Clínica do Monte da Eira is located within the village of Monte da Eira and offers medical care for residents of the village and the local area of Tavira.

Dr. Gorjão Clara was invited to be the Clinic Director of the Clinica do Monte da Eira by the President of ASAL, the owning company of Monte da Eira.
The skills of Dr. Gorjão Clara are especially relevant for the clinic because he is a full Professor of Geriatric Medicine at Lisbon Faculty of Medicine, a member of the European Academy for Medicine of Ageing, a Member of the Board of the European Union Geriatric Medicine Society and of the Geriatric Section of the European Union Medical Specialists.
In Portugal Dr. Gorjão Clara is one of the few medical doctors with Geriatric Competence recognised by the Portuguese Ordem dos Medicos, while also being a Cardiologist too, a European Specialist of Hypertension and formerly the Director of an Internal Medicine Department at a Lisbon Hospital.
