Lisbon: The Portuguese capital will still have a mild weekend to look forward to, with highs struggling to beat 25 degrees Celsius. However, the Mercury is set to climb above 30 degrees with the arrival of August.
The South: Southern Portugal, which has been slightly cooler than existing averages, especially in the evening, will see thermometers start to rise steadily from this weekend, with substantially warmer weather forecast for the coming week.
The North: Northern parts of the country are missing out on the warmer weather, with highs not predicted to stretch far beyond 20 degrees this weekend. It will become more summer-like next week, with highs in the region of 27 degrees.
