“Health line 24 continues to function normally, a trend that has continued in recent days. By 12 April they had received 10,943 calls, calls of all kinds not only regarding covid-19”, said Marta Temido, at the daily press conference of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) to update information about the pandemic caused by the new Coronavirus. The minister said that, in total, the SNS 24 line answered 9,903 calls on 12 April and that most users waited 30 seconds.
Marta Temido also said that the psychological assistance line registered almost 230 calls between citizens in general and professionals involved in fighting the pandemic.
Since 1 April, SNS 24 has provided a line of psychological counselling for health professionals, civil protection, security forces and the general population, taking into account the priority given to mental health in this period.
