Weekend afternoon shopping returns to the Algarve

All councils in the Algarve will see shops and restaurants remain open into the evening this coming weekend.

In ten of the region’s 16 councils it will almost resemble business as usual, while in Faro, Albufeira, Portimão, Lagoa, Lagos and Vila do Bispo, stores will have to shut at 10pm. Bars and restaurants will be closed at 10.30pm. A curfew will also be in place in these cities from 11pm to 5am for the coming two weeks. Over the coming two long weekends, lasting four days, only necessary and authorized travel will be permitted between councils.
