Nigella Lawson has written 11 bestselling cook books including the classic ‘How to Be a Domestic Goddess’. Along with her books her TV shows have solidified her as a household name all over the world.

Ithink Nigella says it best ‘Food, for me, is a constant pleasure: I like to think greedily about it, reflect deeply on it, learn from it; it provides comfort, inspiration, meaning and beauty. More than just a mantra, “cook, eat, repeat” is the story of my life.’

This book is a combination of recipes and ingredients mixed with stories in the author’s own words.

Best Of Nigella Lawson's Comfort Food | Compilations

In true Nigella fashion this book is perfect to immerse yourself in for hours at a time. Although the book has recipes it’s much more than that. The book is full of stories, advice, and it almost feels like she is having a conversation with you.

I would mention that this book is not organized in any way that makes sense so it may take a few readings before you appreciate the layout. The book has more than 300 pages which makes it hefty, the only complaint I have is that the binding of the book was not very strong. The book itself is beautifully designed and I appreciated the colours, I found it modern and refreshing.

This may not be the typical Nigella book and layout we normally expect but if you are looking to spoil yourself with a gift you might consider buying ‘Cook, Eat, Repeat’. It is a great addition to any cook’s collection and a must have if you are a Nigella fan.
