Northern Portugal hospital sets new births record for fifth consecutive year

The number of births registered has been rising consecutively since 2015

A hospital in northern Portugal has, for the fifth consecutive year, set a new record for the number of births registered there. The Póvoa do Varzim / Vila do Conde central hospital in Porto district registered 1,324 births in 2020, up 59 on 2019. The number of births registered in the unit has been rising consecutively since 2015.
