The confirmation came via the brand's social media, where it read: “It was already circulating around... but now we can confirm: McBifana is really back! This iconic flavor is back in the house”. The post quickly generated thousands of reactions and comments from customers.

Inspired by the traditional Portuguese sandwich, the McBifana follows the traditional makeup of bread, pork and a sauce with notes of peppers, garlic and bay leaves.

The chain also allows customers to customise their sandwiches, including adding mustard, which is provided in an individual sachet.

The last time McBifana was available in restaurants was in 2021, in the middle of the pandemic. Since then, requests for its return have intensified, with several customers expressing this desire on the brand's digital platforms.

According to Postal, the full menu with fries and a drink costs €7.20, while those who prefer just the sandwich will pay €5.65.

In addition to this relaunch, the brand has already revealed that a new version of McBifana will be launched on May 13th. According to McDonald’s, this edition will feature an “even tastier” recipe, although specific details have yet to be released.
