Spain's Raúl Alarcón (W52-FC Porto), winner of the 2017 and 2018 Tour of Portugal, has been suspended for four years for "use of prohibited methods and/or substances", according to the updated suspension list of the International Cycling Union (UCI).

According to the suspension list updated on 9 March by the UCI, Alarcón's sporting results are annulled between 28 July 2015 and 21 October 2019, so the Spaniard 'loses' the Voltas a Portugal he won.

The 34-year-old cyclist, who is suspended until 20 October, 2023, won the 2017 Tour of Portugal ahead of Amaro Antunes, champion of the special edition of the race celebrated last year, and the following year beat fellow Portuguese Jóni Brandão.
