This week looks set to be a busy week for the government as it will be making decisions as to whether to renew the State of Emergency or not, or introduce more gradual easing of lockdown measures.

Tomorrow the government will be meeting with drugs watchdog Infarmed to weigh up the current pandemic situation.

Parliament meets again on Wednesday to discuss a possible renewal of the State of Emergency.

The next phase of the easing out of lockdown is pencilled in for next Monday, when, all being well, secondary schools and universities will reopen, along with the likes of cinemas, theatres, restaurants and cafes.
