At the International Sharing School, mindfulness plays an important part in the curriculum combined with mediation, with the team focusing on body and mind experiences for self-care and self-understanding, balance seeking and reflection.

Teachers work with students to help them to understand the importance of intellectual, physical and emotional balance to achieve personal well-being for themselves and others while showing empathy, compassion and respect towards the needs and feelings of others.

Together at the International Sharing School, the students and teachers work on their emotions, ethics and intuition, allowing children to successfully develop their own emotional intelligence - the most important skill for a true leader.

By creating a sustainable mindset in students they are better able to give thoughtful consideration to their own learning and experience and are also able to assess and understand their strengths and limitations in order to support their learning and personal development.

While this approach is important at all levels within the school, it is seen as being most important for the youngest children at the school, those who are part of the Early Years Programme - 4 months old to 5 years old.
