People over 20 years of age will start being vaccinated against covid-19 in Portugal in August, the coordinator of the 'Task Force' for the vaccination plan against covid-19 has announced.

Henrique Gouveia e Melo said the vaccination of people over the age of 30 would take place between late July and early August, after which people in their 20s will start being jabbed. The coordinator explained that, when the plan reaches the 18 age band, “roughly” more than 90% of the population will be vaccinated (...) and therefore it might not be necessary to vaccinate children.
