Vaccination of undocumented migrants is being studied

The coordinator of Portugal’s anti-covid vaccination `task force' has said that it is studying ways to vaccinate illegal immigrants, as well as looking at the advantages and risks of immunising children and young people.

Vice Admiral Gouveia e Melo, head of the task force said there is a need to create "a number in the national health system" for people who are in Portugal illegally, since they "have to be identified in some way before the health services (…)”.
