The “WIFI4EU” project takes free net to rural public spaces in Loulé.

After the urban areas, the Municipality of Loulé is now working towards a new goal - providing free internet access to some public spaces in rural areas of the municipality.

The installation of the “WIFI4EU – Promotion of Internet connectivity in local communities” project is providing free Wi-Fi equipment in eight locations, with ten access points.

In the parish of S. Sebastião, the Associação de Vale Judeu (with two access points), the Loulé Railway Station (with two access points), Soalheira, the Cultural Centre now have wireless coverage and Social do Parragil and the Monte Seco Association. At the Union of Parishes of Querença, Tôr and Benafim, equipment was installed next to the headquarters of the old parishes of Querença, Tôr and Benafim.

With this initiative, the Municipality of Loulé intends to continue expanding the availability of high-quality Wi-Fi in the municipality's public space, providing free internet to the resident population and tourists.
