"The Council of Ministers approved a resolution that extends the state of calamity throughout the mainland until 23:59 on 8 August, 2021 and changes the measures applicable to certain municipalities", says the statement released after the Council of Ministers.

The calamity situation, the highest level of response to disaster situations provided for in the Basic Civil Protection Law, came into force on 1 May and has been renewed every two weeks.

The current calamity situation ends at 23:59 on 25 July.
