Portugal was one of 13 countries that refused to recognise the batches, made by the Serum Institute of India and known as Covishield, as it has not been approved by the EU.
Reports emerged last week that the Portuguese government will recognise all AstraZeneca doses as well as the Chinese-made vaccine Sinovac (according to the Mirror).
The General Directorate of Health (DGS) is said to be preparing guidelines on the matter, which will be released soon.

When is this going to happen? Are they making people quarantine still? I am due to fly out to Portugal in a week or so and my 1st vaccine dose was an Indian batch of the Astra Zeneca. I will only go if I don’t need to quarantine but can’t find any information as to when the Portuguese Government are going to allow this.

Same as previous comments. I cannot find confirmation of when the Portuguese Government are going to accept this batch. Due to fly in two weeks but will not travel if need to quarantine. When will the change be implemented?

As with the previous comments. I own a property in Troia and am due out in September, my first jab was one of the covidsheild batches . I can’t find out any information from any sources , including the British government, Portuguese embassy or the British embassy in Lisbon. Do you know a date for this change ?

My husband is the same. We are due to fly out on the 18th Sept and can find no confirmation that his covishield vaccination will be accepted even though reports have said it will be.
