In a statement, the company, which claims leadership in advertising on billboards in Portugal, says it is the “only project with fully national capital in the sector in the country”.

According to the statement, "dreamMedia's digital portfolio will include, by the end of this year, more than 100 premium positions in the country's biggest cities, such as Porto and Lisbon, in addition to the Algarve region."

The group's objective is “to reach, in the next two years, 300 positions” and “to digitise around 30 percent of the billboards by 2025”.

The CEO of the dreamMedia group claims that this is the “largest investment, and the only one ever made with these characteristics, in digital media in Portugal”, representing “a paradigm shift, both technological and strategic, in a sector whose control may be changing hands after 40 years, to a 100 percent Portuguese company”.

“We intend to ensure the country's recovery given the strong delay in relation to international averages, considering that much of Europe is well developed in this matter”, adds Ricardo Bastos, recalling that, “currently, there are only digital operations in Portugal in indoor areas, service areas and transport, this being the first and only national digital street network”.

“We want to guarantee the offer of a solution that allows the presence of brands in digital media on the street, with all the associated advantages and dynamics. At a time when active consumers are increasingly digital, there is an urgent need to create a direct connection, through digital”, added Ricardo Bastos.

Created in 2006, the dreamMedia group employs around 100 employees in Vila Nova de Gaia and Lisbon. In addition to dreamMedia, the group includes the company BIGoutdoors.

In Portugal, the group is present in 18 districts and in more than 170 municipalities.
