“Considering the data on catches made by the Portuguese monkfish stock fleet in zones eight, nine and 10 in EU [European Union] waters of CECAF 34.1.1., it is reported that quota utilization has reached 95%”, said the DGRM.
On September 16, the DGRM had already warned that the country had used 80% of the fishing quota for monkfish.
