According to the Directorate-General of Health, "people aged 40 or over, who have been vaccinated with Janssen's vaccine 90 days or more ago, can use vaccination centres in an 'open house' regime."

Health authorities advise users to check timetables before going to a vaccination centre, remembering that afternoon periods “generally have less affluence”.

However, it is also now possible to schedule, on the DGS website, the vaccination of children between 7 and 11 years old for the last four days before returning to school, that is, between 6 and 9 of January.

In mainland Portugal, vaccination of children under 12 years of age began on December 18, when the age groups between 9 and 11 were called.

According to the task force's planning, on the weekend of January 15th to 16th it will be the turn of children aged 6 and 7 years old, and between the 22nd and 23rd of January children aged 5 years.

The second dose vaccination for children under 12 years of age should take place between February 5th and March 13th.
