According to Portugal’s SEF Borders and Immigration service, 29-year-old Alex Male was arrested on Saturday after arriving on a flight from Istanbul, Turkey.
An international warrant had been issued for his arrest by Interpol for drug trafficking, money laundering and possession of a banned weapon.
Reports claim he has been on the run since 2020.
