Minimum temperatures are set to fluctuate between 7 degrees Celsius (in Guarda) and 15 (in Faro) and the maximum between 20 (in Guarda, Porto and Viana do Castelo) and 31 (in Faro).

The IPMA predicts clear skies on the continent and light to moderate winds from the north/northwest.

Mainland Portugal and the archipelagos of Madeira and Azores, are today at a very high and high risk of exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UV).

High fire risk

Sixteen municipalities in the districts of Santarém, Castelo Branco, Portalegre and Faro also remain on maximum alert due to the risk of fire, according to the IPMA.

At the highest risk are the municipalities of Constância, Chamusca, Vila Nova da Barquinha, Abrantes, Tomar, Ferreira do Zêzere, Sardoal, Mação (Santarém), Vila de Rei (Castelo Branco), Gavião (Portalegre), Aljezur, Lagos, Silves, Loulé, São Brás de Alportel and Tavira (Faro).

According to the IPMA, the danger of fire will remain high in some regions of the continent until at least Friday.

The calculations are obtained from the air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and amount of precipitation in the last 24 hours.
