Over the approximately three months since the beginning of the sixth wave of the pandemic, between 25 and 26 April, Portugal recorded a total of 1,363,000 cases and 2,331 deaths associated with Covid-19.

In the last report, experts anticipated that carrying out these events, without masks or testing, would result in 350,000 direct infections in the country.

According to the most recent estimates, there were about 242,000 cases of Covid-19 officially registered due to the Festas Populares and festivals such as Rock in Rio.

“If we add the cases not officially reported, we reach the number of 340,000”, says the report, produced by Henrique Oliveira, Pedro Amaral, José Rui Figueira and Ana Serro.
