The fire in Covilhã, which spread to Manteigas, in the
district of Guarda, has now burnt down two fire vehicles and two vacant houses
today.

According to the mayor of Covilhã, the burned area is
already around three thousand hectares.
At 7.20pm, 740 personnel, 228 vehicles and nine air assets
were still fighting the blaze.
