The news was advanced by Reuters, citing statements by Peter
Szijjarto published through Facebook.
According to ECO, the Portuguese government was in favour of
suspending this agreement, but away from the total ban on visas for Russians.
“Russia is not a country in which we can have the kind of trust that underlies
this type of agreement”, which facilitates the issuance of visas, said João Gomes
Cravinho, the Portuguese minister responsible, in response to requests from the
President of Ukraine, Voodymyr Zelensky.
