The cat was transported in serious condition to a veterinary centre by an animal ambulance from the Camarate Fire Department.

According to a publication shared on Facebook by the Núcleo de Intervenção e Resgate Animal (IRA), a boat was present at the scene in case the animal fell/jumped, along with an animal rescue ambulance from the Volunteer Fire Department of Camarate, given that the cat had difficulty breathing and damaged teeth (compatible with being run over) and a team from Lusoponte with a vehicle equipped with a telescopic crane.

"Once all the conditions were met for the rescue of the animal, without endangering the lives of drivers circulating on the respective bridge, the concessionaire's team positioned itself next to the pole, with the IRA team ready with a boat to try to avoid either its fall or its escape onto the carriageways".

The Lusoponte employee ended up grabbing the cat with the material provided by the IRA and without difficulty.

The cat was transported in serious condition to a veterinary centre by an animal ambulance from the Camarate Fire Department.

"We are now awaiting the results of the x-ray for possible fractures or internal bleeding, to proceed with immediate surgery," the statement ends.
