Lisbon: Showers are forecast for Saturday in the capital with temperatures to peak at 24 degrees and drop to lows of 15 degrees. On Sunday there will be a mixture of sunshine and intermittent cloud but here should be no rain and temperatures are to reach highs of 26 degrees. Monday is to be warmer still with highs of 28 degrees.

The north: The wet weather is to continue on Saturday with a mixture of sunny spells and showers and temperatures to hit highs of 22 degrees. On Sunday it is to be dry with heavy cloud cover and temperatures to reach 26 degrees. The rain is forecast to return again on Tuesday.

The centre: A dry and bright weekend is forecast with highs of 26 degrees on Saturday and rising to highs of 30 degrees on Sunday. The hazy high cloud is to continue for most of the following week although temperatures are to gradually fall to highs of 27 degrees by Wednesday.

The south: There will be a chance of rain in some parts of the south on Saturday although it will be mainly dry with temperatures peaking at highs of 25 degrees and dropping to lows of 15 degrees. On Sunday temperatures will be on the rise again up to highs of 29 degrees with hazy high cloud. Temperatures are to peak on Tuesday with highs of 32 degrees.
