This year, 70,727 people took the tests, a 5% increase from 2022.
For the first time, more than 70,000 applicants are attempting the Junior Cycle exams, which are the equivalent of the Junior Cert and Inter Cert.
Students will get the results in class today at a time determined by each school.
All candidates have now taken exams using the completely revised Junior Cycle curriculum for the second year.
Exams for the majority of students were cancelled in 2020 and 2021, leaving just the recently redesigned courses of English, Science, and Business Studies to be assessed until 2019.
Candidates will receive grades in about 629,189 subjects in 21 different categories this year.
Procedures for assessments were modified once more to account for the pandemic's disruption of education.
Several modifications were made to the schedule or specifications for the coursework or practical components.
Students did not get their results until November of last year.
The Junior Cycle results for this year were released five weeks ahead of schedule, according to the State Examinations Commission. This was made possible by a notable rise in the number of instructors marking test papers and the adoption of online marking in nearly all Junior Cycle topics.
The exam results that students get today will be combined by the schools with the results from short courses, classroom-based assessments, and other areas of the curriculum.
Every student will receive a Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA) award as a result of all of this.
