The Dutch unemployment rate slightly increased in the third trimester of 2023.

Nevertheless, it remains one of the lowest in the European Union. Eurostat's latest data shows the Netherlands has the sixth lowest unemployment rate in the EU, behind Malta (2.5 percent), Czechia (2.7 percent), Poland (2.8 percent), Germany (2.9 percent) and Slovenia (3.5 percent).
