The new private hospital will be created from scratch and will be located in Campera Outlet Shopping, in Carregado, municipality of Alenquer, district of Lisbon, forming part of Lusíadas Saúde's strategic expansion plan at a national level, according to a statement.

The hospital unit will have around 4,000 square meters, with 30 consultation offices, two operating rooms, a gastroenterology room, an imaging area, and a permanent care service. The hospital is expected to create 500 jobs in total.

“Hospital Lusíadas Campera represents an important investment by the Lusíadas Saúde Group in a municipality with a healthcare offering that still has a high potential for development", says Vasco Antunes Pereira, executive president (CEO) of Lusíadas Saúde, cited in the note.

According to the statement, the group's expansion strategy involves opening units in new geographic locations, as well as strengthening the response of existing units.

Lusíadas Saúde has already announced investments in Santa Maria da Feira (Aveiro district) and Paços de Ferreira (Porto district), as well as the soon opening of Hospital Lusíadas Vilamoura, in the Algarve, the acquisition of Hospital Monsanto, in Alfragide (Lisbon), and the acquisition of Clínicas Dr. Well's.
