“Many of those who visit Vale do Lobo have been coming here for years – they are often the children and grandchildren of the original owners and holidaymakers. As the resort continues to grow and evolve alongside them, also a new Vale do Lobo is emerging, driven by the ambition and vision of the new shareholders. It is the time for a renewed look and feel, in keeping with the new real estate projects soon to be launched”, said Alda Filipe, Vale do Lobo Board Member and Regional Director of Kronos Homes (operating partner at Vale do Lobo).

Famous for its two championship 18-hole golf courses, Vale do Lobo has grown over the decades to accommodate around 1,500 homes, used by a diverse international clientele as second homes, primary residences, and investments.

Vale do Lobo was acquired in late 2022 by investment funds advised by Davidson Kempner Capital Management LP and comprising operating partner Kronos Real Estate Group, as manager and developer for all residential real estate.

According to the resort, part of its new strategy, positioning, and ambition and for the first time in decades, a new off-plan mixed real estate product will be launched at Vale Real, supporting a new generation of discerning holidaymakers and property owners to cement their enduring relationship with the resort.

“With plans already in motion and significant investments underway, soon to be realised through new amenities and real estate projects, we are setting a new standard for achievement. The renewed image elevates the resort brand while honouring its rich history and longevity. The resort’s timeless appeal will ensure that future generations of discerning holidaymakers and property owners can create their own traditions here,” said Eduardo Johnston da Siva, Vale do Lobo Managing Director.

A raft of changes and additions have already been implemented at Vale do Lobo. Several golf course investments have been taking place. A new resort-managed Golf Shop is now open next to the Vale do Lobo Clubhouse. The resort’s Tennis Academy has also been refreshed, with 12 tennis courts, six padel courts, and mini tennis facilities welcoming players of all ages and abilities. There’s also a new gym and a boutique specialising in tennis apparel and equipment. At the Academy and at the Praça, new Vale do Lobo-managed restaurants are due to open their doors over the coming months to expand the offering further.
