Just a few days after it was revealed that the two Johnnies would be departing the station together with Doireann Garrihy at the end of the month, the news was officially confirmed by RTÉ on Thursday night.
Since May 2019, Zamparelli has been hosting her weekday show, the Jennifer Zamparelli Show, on 2FM, which she joined in February 2014.
She released a statement saying, “It's time for me to move on. I have worked at 2FM for 10 amazing years.”
Jennifer Zamparelli returned to her @RTE2fm show for the final time today to say farewell to her listeners 🥹❤️

Given that her kids “are growing up so fast it's scary, and I really feel now is the time to give them a little more of me,” Zamparelli described the choice as “really difficult.”
“I want to thank her deeply for her energy and commitment to 2FM,” Head of 2FM Dan Healy stated, describing her as “funny, bold, and brave.”
“It has been a privilege to work with such an amazingly talented person.”
In the upcoming weeks, RTÉ said, the broadcaster will reveal its summer programme.
