In the transfer period between June 1st and Monday, the last day on which the Portuguese Professional Football League (LPFP) accepted registrations, the national teams signed 394 players, eight fewer compared to the same period in 2023, a value only surpassed in England (526) and Brazil (412).

As for the amounts involved, Portugal was the seventh most spending country, with 227.9 million euros (ME), rising one position compared to last year, when it invested 202.2 ME, in a list topped by England, with 1.53 thousand ME, followed by Italy (746 ME), France (630 ME), Spain (542 ME), Germany (517 ME) and Saudi Arabia (390 ME), second in 2023.
