The islet of Santo do Mar, also known as the island of São Clemente, is being sold for 300 thousand euros, making it cheaper than many 2-bedroom apartments in Lisbon.

The owner of the island of São Clemente, located in the Pontevedra estuary, in Galicia, Spain, is trying to sell it for 300 thousand euros, although the price is negotiable. According to NiT, it went on sale in 2022.

The fact is that, despite being a plot of land with an area of 3,000 square meters and being appealing to the eyes of those who have always wanted to have an island, it all belongs to a protected area, and therefore it cannot be developed.

Furthermore, the islet is connected to Praia do Santo, in the parish of Ardán de Marine, which means that, at low tide, anyone can get there on foot. Just go to Praia do Santo on a summer day to see how at low tide many bathers end up exploring the island.

It is worth mentioning that the island has a construction. It is a chapel, “where a popular pilgrimage was once held”, according to the advertisement.
