Michael O’Leary, CEO of Ryanair, is considering increasing staff bonuses for identifying oversized hand luggage to eliminate excess cabin baggage, which he calls a “scourge”.

The airline currently offers staff €1.50 per intercepted bag, and it’s reported that the bonus is capped at about €80 for each member per month.
Ryanair has seen its profits more than double to €820 million in the latest quarter, driven by a 21 percent rise in average fares.
