After the successful trial, in 2024, the health drink produced locally was chosen to be “shared with the thousands of athletes who converge on Cascais from around the world to test themselves in the annual Ironman triathlon event.”
The drink has no sugar or artificial flavour, being Perfect Peaks, according to a press release, a hops-based and carbonated drink, being “at the forefront of a smart rehydration movement, making it a perfect partner” for the 2025 Ironman – Cascais race.
Sean Wootton, the founder of Perfect Peaks, resides in Cascais and stated, quoted in the press release, that signing a partnership with IRONMAN “was a powerful reminder of the role Cascais events can play in elevating local entrepreneurship.”
“IRONMAN Portugal brings a global audience of athletes, spectators, and sponsors, offering small, independent brands like Perfect Peaks a rare opportunity to shine, and prove that world-class innovation can come from grassroots businesses supported by a local community, like Cascais.”
"Events like this put Cascais on the map as a destination of excellence for health and sport. We are proud that a local brand represents the healthy living, wellness and sports culture of Cascais, as well as the production capacity on this high-performance stage," he said.
Perfect Peaks Hop Water was developed in 2023 while trying to find an alternative to energy drinks. Sean Wotton aimed for a drink without sugar, sweeteners and even caffeine, being easily enjoyed by every consumer, even those who are not athletes.
Sean Wootton has also stated that, “the natural, hops water-based hydration works to clear the palate of gels and isotonic mixes consumed in a race. Perfect Peaks is clean celebration hydration - an after-race reward for endurance effort, your endorphin buzz uncompromised”.
Perfect Peaks may be found online at www.perfectpeaksbrews.com and in some retailers across Lisbon and Cascais.
