This plant is only found in Portugal and Spain, and as its distribution range is declining, it is crucial to raise awareness and foster the conservation of its populations in the wild.
Within this project, an Exhibition of Drawings by Students from the Almancil School Group's Elementary School, showcasing the white crowberry plants from the Ancão area, can be visited from September 16 to October 18, 2025, at the Almancil Municipal Library Campus.
These drawings were made by students after an educational field trip in May to the coastal area within the Ancão Forest Management Plan (Algarve).
