The event takes place along Avenida da República, and in Praça Marquês de Pombal and is expected to attract thousands of visitors over eight days. October 12th, a public holiday in Spain, is notable for the usual presence of numerous Spanish tourists, who cross the border to visit the fair.

The venue offers a wide variety of themed areas: restaurants and beverages, shops, home textiles, decorations, crafts, clothing, sweets, entertainment, and an area dedicated to exhibitors and companies, ensuring options for all ages and tastes.

The Feira da Praia is one of the municipality's oldest and most iconic traditions. Founded in 1765, near the sands of Monte Gordo, it was transferred in 1774 to the newly founded Vila Real de Santo António, and has since established itself as a meeting place, social dynamism, and economic engine of the region.

More than two centuries later, it continues to mark the municipality's cultural and commercial calendar, preserving its historical identity and keeping alive the memory of its origins.
