Antônio Lavareda, the project's creator and director-general, emphasised that the central objective of this initiative is to deepen the integration of Lusophone nations by valuing the common language as a symbolic space of belonging and an essential facilitator for economic and institutional exchange.

The study introduces an innovative dimension by analysing mutual knowledge among populations, addressing strategic themes such as cultural exchanges, migratory flows, and the fight against misinformation, thereby serving as a tool for the development of more informed public policies.

With a sample of 5,400 people surveyed in countries including Angola, Brazil, Mozambique, and Portugal, the results demonstrate that understanding the unique characteristics of each society is fundamental to strengthening democratic values and promoting multilateral cooperation. International seminars are already planned to discuss the conclusions of this barometer, which reaffirms language as the community's primary political and cultural capital.
