The alert for the fire was given at 12:55pm, and at 3:30pm, 147 operational personnel, 39 vehicles and nine aerial means, who are trying to control the fire in a forest area in Bordeira, in the municipality of Aljezur, told Lusa the source of the Faro District Relief Operations Command (CDOS).

"It is a bush area and the fire is starting very intensely, helped by the phenomenon of wind that is felt in the area and is making combat difficult", said the same source.

Asked if the fire was putting populations or property at risk, the same source guaranteed that, so far, “there is no record of risk situations for people and homes”.
