Lisbon: After some rain at the end of the week, the capital will be sunny for the coming seven days, with average temperatures ranging from 5 degrees Celsius at night to highs of around 15 degrees.
The South: Southern Portugal will be basking in sunshine until the end of the month according to forecasters, but thermometers are not expected to breach the 20-degree barrier anytime in January, with frost predicted for inland areas.
The North: The snow which has fallen in recent days in rural areas will take some thawing, with temperatures struggling to reach double figures this coming week while lows are set to fall below zero for much of northern Portugal.

Made a 5 days visit last week in the Southern Portugal. Had, I think 2 days with temperatures up to 19 degrees, falling at night to 6-7 degrees. That would normaly be ok, if it wasn´t for the lak of central heating inside the houses. My goodness it was very Cold to get up in the morning, having a shower in an icecold bathroom. Now it seems to be even colder down there, allmost like here in Denmark. The difference is that we have the central heating in the houses to keep us warm. An open fire is just a Little help. Dispite all that, I enjoyed my stay there with some very nice people.
