Road traffic in Lisbon will be subject to detours or delays this weekend to allow for the 10th of June holiday celebrations.
In the capital traffic will be cut off on Ribeira das Naus between10am and 11am. On Sunday it will be interrupted along most main avenues between 8am and 1pm, and again from 6am on Monday morning.
Lisbon Town Hall has also asked residents in the city to keep their bags of rubbish indoors and not put them out for collection tonight, as there won’t be a bin service due to the 10 June holiday. Only the neighbourhoods of Mouraria and Bica, where the door-to-door collection service is in place, will go ahead as usual. Lisbon town hall recalled there will also be no rubbish collection on the night of Sunday 12 June.
Most shops, amenities and services will also be closed today.
