Doctors and nurses from all over Portugal are gathering in the Algarve this week.

The Algarve Urgency Course aims to debate and find ways to make emergency services more efficient and safer for patients and health professionals. The event takes place between the 4th and 6th of March in Faro, with lectures and workshops, as well as training in advanced life support.

Mad! Just one carrier of the virus at that conference and half the country's medical staff are out of action.

Is this a good idea at this time? Having a conference of national medical staff in one location amidst a global pandemic? If there are only 1 or 2 infected attendees, the entire medical staff potentially gets infected and carries the issue throughout Portugal's medical facilities.
