Drone incidents up in Portugal

The number of incidents reported in Portugal involving drones in 2018 was up to 53, representing an increase of more than 200 percent since 2016.

According to the National Civil Aviation Authority, the number of drone incidents at airports have increased year on year since records first began in 2013.

Drones are prohibited from flying more than 120 metres in height in areas surrounding airports, including takeoff and landing areas.
