Goals from Fabrício Simoës (36’) and Matheus Silva (50’) seemed to have given the Faro team a comfortable lead but Paul Ayongo pulled a goal back for Mafra twenty minutes from time to give the 1,622 Farense fans some nervous moments before the final whistle was blown.

SC Olhanense made it fourteen goals in their last three home games as they ran riot against Fabril do Barreiro (Lisbon) last Sunday. Goals from Hassan (2), João Vasco (2) and Sapara plus a red card for Fabril defender França made it a lively afternoon as Olhanense maintained top spot in the Campeonato Portugal with the 5-1 victory.

Olhanense are now the top scoring team in the top three leagues - Primeira Liga, Segunda Liga & Campeonato Portugal - with two more goals than Benfica and four more than FC Porto.
