Lusa has asked for clarification from the airline about the dozens of cancellations as the company’s Facebook page has various complaints from passengers who said they had not been informed of the cancellations.

The company replied on the same page offering its “sincere apologies” and in some cases provided links for the passengers to present complaints.

In late March, Portuguese pilots’ union SPAC called on flight deck crews to take overdue leave and not to accept flights on their days off and holidays as a “form of protest” against the airline.
